Position located on-site, in Tampa, FL.  Minimal travel required.

Job Summary

As the UI/UX Designer at Thumbstopper, you’ll play a key role in turning software into easy- to-use products for our customers. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering the best online user experience using various methods and the latest technology. UI/UX Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing robust user interfaces, graphical elements, building navigation components, and enhancing our SaaS application’s user experience. Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Research, plan and implement new designs
  • Optimize existing user interface designs
  • Test for intuitiveness and user experience
  • Communicate with clients to understand their business goals and objectives
  • Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions
  • Create click-thru prototypes and wireframes for new product ideas
  • Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements
  • Test new ideas before implementing
  • Conduct an ongoing user research
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required. 
Daily Requirements
  • Contribute a minimum of 40 working hours per week, excluding lunch/breaks.
  • Participate in scheduled meeting(s) to discuss department priorities.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in UI/UX and technology.
  • Ability to discuss and explain design options
  • Knowledge of Adobe range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
  • Some knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a team environment and collaborate with internal staff and clients.
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills, Critical thinker with the proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with numerous projects, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with continuous change and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and perform duties outside of those described.
  • Problem solver and customer-centered
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 3-5 years of experience as an UI-UX Designer or similar role 
  • Experience working for a Saas company in a UI/UX Designer role
  • Experience with wireframe/prototype software (Figma preferred)
  • Knowledge of Adobe range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
  • 3+ years of experience with HTML5 & CSS3
  • Some knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • UI design portfolio
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time.
